If you are new to Sun Island Holidays, you may be wondering who we are? Based on the Isle of Wight.
Sun Island have been successfully arranging group holidays since 1978. In that time we have been privileged to have many Organisers return to us time and time again. This is in no small part due to the fact that they trust us to provide them with good offers and knowledgeable service.
When groups book with Sun Island, they can be sure that they will have individual service throughout. No sharing coaches with other groups, no need to go to interchanges to join your tour coach. Just straight from your Club to your destination.
It’s a formula that Mike and Debbie Pointing perfected when they first started and which we still work to today. Times have of course changed since 1978. Sun Island have not only moved with the market but have been quick to adapt to new regulations which have been brought in. Most notably in the field of Passenger Protection and this is detailed below.
Passenger Protection. Article 7 of the Council directive 90/314(EC) (“The Directive”) of the European Community. On 1st January 1993 the directive was implemented in accordance with the terms of Regulation 20 of the Travel Package, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulation 1992 (“The Regulations”) pursuant to the above Directive to establish protection for its customers. To comply with this, Sun Island Holidays operate a Trust Fund in accordance with the above regulations.
In practice this means that ALL monies paid to Sun Island Holidays are held in trust until completion of your holiday. (excluding your holding deposit which is paid direct to the Hotel to secure your booking). So you can have confidence that your money is in safe hands. This is your Safeguard and a copy of our Deed of Declaration of Trust can be supplied on request. Sun Island Holidays are also a proud member of The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce (Tourism & Industry).
Terms & Conditions:
These are detailed on our Booking Form. Please read these because they advise you about the agreement that you will have with us once we have confirmed your booking with you. It is a contract designed to be fair to both sides and to give us certain rights and duties.
Although Sun Island Holidays do not provide holiday insurance, we do recommend that all passengers take out their own policies. This is to cover for all eventualities that may be reasonably expected.
Prices and Payment:
When you request a quotation from Sun Island Holidays, the prices are normally based on there being a minimum of 30 persons in the group. This include VAT at the rate applicable at the time of booking. A deposit of £100.00 is required to secure the booking for the group with a further deposit of £35.00 per person for 8 Day and Channel Island/ROI/Continental bookings.
£20.00 per person deposit for 5 day or less breaks within the UK, 6 weeks from the date of our acknowledgement of your original booking. There would be nothing more to pay until the final balance is due. We would advise you when this is required in plenty of time.
Payments may be made in three ways:
Via cheque – posted to us and made payable to Sun Island Holidays
Via PayPal – using the link on our Home page. Please note: We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.
Direct to our Trust Account – our bank details can be supplied if required so that you may make payments straight into our Trust Account. Payments also in person at a Bank or via internet banking. If you chose to pay this way, all that we would ask is that you telephone us afterwards to confirm the amount that was paid in and (if paid in person at a Bank), the branch it was paid in to.
